TAKE THE HATE OUT OF THE IMMIGRATION DEBATE

Don’t be Fooled by the Man Behind the Curtain

January 20th, 2009

Our friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center reported that the Social Contract Press held a press conference this Tuesday at the National Press Club.  The subject was a new report published by Edwin S. Rubenstein, The Twin Crises: Immigration and Infrastructure.

This Edwin S. Rubenstein is the same Edwin S. Rubenstein who in 2003 wrote on VDare.com, "Overall, Hispanics show a significantly higher level of social pathology than American whites. There are even signs that, as a group, Hispanics may displace American blacks and form a new underclass."  He is the same Rubenstein who in a report written for the National Policy Institute (NPI), an organization founded to "elevate the consciousness of whites, ensure our biological and cultural continuity, and protect our civil rights," argued that diversity programs are "harming the economy as a whole" and displacing whites.  This Rubenstein is also the man who was the lead on the NPI report The State of White America, which was a "statistical and narrative portrait of the war on white America, and thus, on America herself."  In the introduction to The State of White America, Nicholas Stix describes the Supreme Court's 1954 Brown v. Board of Education ruling outlawing public school segregation as "arguably the worse decision in the Court's 216-year history" and goes on to say that integration "and the civil rights movement led directly to the destruction of great cities."

Moreover, the Social Contract Press, which also publishes the hate journal The Social Contract, is the brainchild of John Stanton, the racist founder of the Federation for American Immigration Reform.  The organization has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The National Press Club may have rented Rubenstein a room, but that doesn't make him legitimate.
